Picture This in Berlin
Picture This played at Huxley’s Neue Welt in Berlin, Germany on October 30th, 2026.
The show was opened by Dreamboys The Band, a German band that actually met in Berlin, making this a hometown show for them. They brought some of their songs like "Jeanie," immediately capturing the crowd and hyping them up for the following acts. Their set also included an unreleased song that’s coming out this week that they produced on the tour bus. It’s safe to say they made a great start to the night, and we’re sure to be hearing much more from them in the future.
This was followed by a set from Marc Atlas, another German artist who’s only 19 years old. His captivating voice, combined with his playing the piano, quickly had the crowd hanging onto his every word. The set included his song "Indigo," which he taught to the crowd, as well as a song about his grandparents called "Remember Me," which even brought tears to some people’s eyes.
After these amazing opening acts, the crowd was buzzing with excitement, waiting for Picture This to take the stage when, all of a sudden, someone jumped over the barricade and onto the stage. A closer look revealed that the man was wearing a mask; it was the day before Halloween, after all. He picked up a bass, sat down, and started playing, revealing that it was the band’s bassist, Cliff Deane. Soon after, he was joined by the other band members, who took off his mask. The lead singer, Ryan Hennessy, entered the stage with his poetry book, In Another Lifetime, in hand. He started off by reading one of the poems before throwing the book to a fan in the crowd and starting to sing. This marked a special start to a special night.
The show included lots of interaction between the band members themselves and with the crowd: Ryan started off by greeting the crowd in German, claiming his German was bad, when it was actually pretty good. Later in the night, they told everyone that German and Irish fans were the best in the world, and Ryan even pointed out an individual saying, "You’re a legend," and that he’s been watching them dance all night.
There was also a section where the band played some more stripped-back songs, including "Somewhere Close to Heaven" and a traditional Irish song. The Irish song was a complete surprise for Ryan, with it being Cliff’s turn to pick a song.
At some point, Ryan also asked for complete silence during their song "Go Gently" so he could step away from the microphone and just sing for a little.
At the very end of the show, Cliff put his Halloween mask back on, bringing the show to a full-circle moment.
All in all, they definitely brought their amazing energy to Berlin, and their show definitely isn’t one to miss!

I’ve loved photography since I was a kid and (live) music has always been such an important part of my life, getting to combine both of those things is a dream come true. I also love urban and street photography, especially while traveling. Any of my friends can tell tales about having to wait for me while i take pictures wherever we go haha. So: if you’re ever looking for me, chances are you’ll find me and my camera at a concert or out somewhere traveling (or at a concert while traveling).
