Shedding Light

Metamorphosis is rarely loud. More often, it happens in the quiet spaces: in the curl of a body against darkness, in the moment when light breaks through fabric and lands on skin like something alive. This series, shot entirely with long exposures and colored light sources, tries to capture transformation not as a finished event but as an ongoing, physical process. The blur is here to remind us that we are never quite still when we are changing.

The figures in these images are mid-process, caught somewhere between what they were and what they are becoming. It is much like spring, which does not arrive all at once but pushes through slowly - a crack of light here, a burst of color there. The cold blue that floods the early frames gradually gives way to warmer, more alive tones, mirroring that quiet seasonal shift from dormancy to bloom.
