If you haven’t heard of the canadian indie-pop band Valley yet, it’s time to change that.

The Toronto three-piece consisting of Rob Laska, Karah James and Alex Dimauro played a sold out show at YUCA in Cologne on Friday January 31st, 2025 on their Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden Europe and UK Tour. This was the first time the band has toured Europe and it was definitely worth the wait. Starting off with a clip that’s also heard in the beginning of their song "I Didn’t Even Ask For This" that states "Good Morning, you’re listening to a band called Valley" their show ranges from high energy tunes like "Bass Player’s Brother" and "When You Know Someone" to slower songs like "Mosquito" or "Life Goes On Without Me". The trio’s energy is simply contagious, and it’s clear that we did, in fact, ask for this. During "Bop Ba" Rob enters the crowd to sing the last song of the night with everyone, creating a special atmosphere.

Valley has an incredible stage presence and the members love interacting with the crowd. Their music truly is meant to be heard live, so if you ever get the chance I would highly recommend attending one of their shows. For now we’ll just have to leave their music on repeat until we get to see them here in Europe again.
