On November 9, Berlin gets set to host one of the freshest voices in contemporary rap: Ian, the young artist who’s been building momentum steadily since 2022, but whose rise exploded with his viral track “Magic Johnson.” Born and raised in St. Louis, ian has blended electrifying energy, sharp lyricism, and raw authenticity to turn heads across the scene.

Though “Magic Johnson” became the breakout hit, especially after going gold in the U.S. and blowing up on TikTok, ian had already been releasing music well before then. He dropped earlier EPs like "Only for A While" and "Empty Suit," sharpening his style through SoundCloud, producing his own tracks, and cultivating a loyal following.

A key moment in his ascent came with “Hate Me,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty. That feature didn’t just serve as a high-profile co-sign; it helped Ian reach a broader audience and affirm his place in the rap world.

Ian’s mixtape "Valedictorian" (2024), which later got a deluxe edition including “Magic Johnson”, also proved his versatility, combining rage-tinged beats, melodic hooks, and emotionally charged lyrics.

Now, finally, Ian brings his energy to Germany. The Berlin show promises to be a defining moment: not just another tour stop, but a chance for fans here to see the full scope of his artistry, the braggadocio, the introspection, the chaotic beats, the vulnerability. Expect a setlist that mixes viral hits with deeper cuts, raw performance moments, and perhaps surprises from his growing catalog.
