Iskander Moon at Privatclub in Berlin
Belgian artist Iskander Moon, with support from Lucie Frank and Itay Blau, played a show at the Privatclub in Berlin on March 31st. The night was a great mix between calmer songs and songs to dance to!
First on stage was Lucie Frank, she sang songs like "Write", her unreleased song "Only My Love" and "Gentle Baby". Her set had a rather calmer feeling, the fans were attentive during the songs and clapped after them.
Lucie also mentioned her upcoming EP "Ugly Feeling", which will be released on April 24th!
Then it was time for Itay Blau, whose set felt calmer as well; it was only him on his guitar. Some people even started dancing along! He sang songs like "Baby Baby", from his newest album Ripped On The Soft Side (released March 20th), "Move" and "The End". Both Itay and Iskander mentioned that they were friends. Later, Iskander ended up asking him to join him on stage for a song.
Lastly, Iskander Moon himself and his band went on stage. His set had calmer songs as well; he played the keys for a few of them and also more energetic songs, for which he was on his guitar. During one of the more energetic ones, he even went into the crowd for a short moment. He was smiling, seemingly having a great time during the show and expressed his gratefulness to those who came.
He played songs like "Ghosts", "Borderline" or "The City", from his recently released album Salt Moon City. He described the album's songs being about what reminds him of home or places that feel like it. Iskander also sang "Saturday Silence" and ended his set with "Minnesota Wildflower", the whole room sang along beautifully to this one!
You looked really beautiful tonight, thank you everybody. I hope you get home safe!

Throughout 2022 and the beginning of 2023 I started to photograph with my phone at shows I went to, in April of 2023 I got to photograph with my camera at a show for the first time and have been doing it since. I love that it´s possible to combine (live) music and photography!
Excited to see what the future will bring!
