"We All Make Mistakes": Laufey's A Matter of Time Tour Live in Berlin

On Tuesday, February 24th 2026, two-time GRAMMY winner Laufey took her A Matter of Time Tour to the Velodrom in Berlin! A very fitting venue, as the circle-like event hall perfectly aligns with the theme of the singer’s album about time and how it changes everything. Although Laufey played larger venues on this tour, she managed to turn this into an intimate event.

For the first part of the European leg, Laufey had the rising talent Alice Phoebe Lou as a support act. She herself also received support from the crowd, especially from a few individuals in the front row.

Before Laufey came on stage, and the intermission did take some time, the crowd was entertained with a little trivia on screen. For example, she played into the recent red carpet incident, where she was mistaken for Megan, a member of KATSEYE. Did you know that the 3 o’clock position on her album cover stands for her third studio album, and also an L as in Laufey? Now you do!

And what does 8:45 stand for? Showtime! The longer pause after Alice Phoebe Lou was finally explained by the curtain falling and revealing a beautiful stage, which looked like the inside of a clock tower.

From the first second, she proved: the mic is on! What seemed like a bit at first turned out to be a wholesome and adorable moment. The moment Laufey stepped on stage, her personality came in full swing, forgetting the opening lyric to “Clockwork”. Instead of being frustrated about it, she took it like a champion, laughing it away in the most charming way.

There has been a trend that has been taking over concert culture, where the crowd collectively dresses in a similar way. At an Olivia Rodrigo concert for example you will see purple on every other person, (very famously) at a Harry Styles show feather boas were essential. And for Laufey? Lots and lots of DIY crowns! One of the attendees, Christina, was rewarded for her creativity and was crowned as best dressed by Laufey or more specifically by Mei Mei The Bunny - making this yet another show highlight.

Whether it was her playing the cello or piano or having a little orchestra, instruments became an integral part of the show next to the stunning visuals.

During the encore Laufey, for the last time, performed an unreleased song. The song is remaining on the setlist, don’t worry. The song, “How I Get” was just released just hours later, making this the first taste of the deluxe version of her upcoming deluxe version of A Matter Of Time “The Final Hour”.

With what felt like a warm hug with the audience as well as a younger version of yourself, Laufey continued her tradition and gave a heartwrenching performance of “Letter To My 13 Year Old Self” - reminding the audience and herself to “Keep on going with your silly dream”. It was wonderful to see a person with Asian roots thriving and bringing so many Asian-descended people along with her to work on this breathtaking tour.
