On August 14 & 15, 2026, MS Dockville once again took place in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. This year, celebrating its nineteenth anniversary, the festival welcomed 40,000 people. Typically known for rainy days, Hamburg decided to do a whole 180 and presented itself at its best, with hot and sunny weather.

Friday started off strong with live acts such as Alessi Rose, who played the main stage, Grossschot, this year. Despite the heat, fans dressed in Alessi merch had lined up hours in advance to get as close to the singer as possible. Other acts ranged from young rap talent Yung Pepp to German indie legends Von Wegen Lisbeth, Zimmer 90, and Blond.

Highlight on Friday: secret act Paula Hartmann, who went on after Berq. She surprised fans with classics as well as a new song, “Zwei Punkte,” which will be part of her next record!

And on Saturday? It certainly didn’t stop. The day kicked off with a live session of true-crime podcast Mord auf Ex at Nest Stage, a tiny and very intimate setting. Hosts Linn Schütze and Leonie Bartsch themselves commented on how unusual the setting was, as they usually play in big arenas.

Jolle and Paris Paloma both played breathtaking sets at the main stage Grossschott, and coincidentally, both of them are set to release their next record on September 4, 2026. Other acts the crowd didn’t want to miss included Bibiza, who once again proved himself to be a real rockstar, as well as Noga Erez and Baran Kok, who is one of the hottest names in music right now, something that undoubtedly won’t change anytime soon.

Another surprise was waiting for fans on Saturday, as Berq came back to the festival just one day after headlining to perform “Heal” with Tom Odell himself, which nobody expected, creating an even bigger bang as big finale at this year‘s festival!

With the festival celebrating its 20th birthday in 2027, you certainly don’t want to miss that one! It will take place on August 20 & 21, 2027, once again in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. Birthday Early Bird tickets start at only 119€, but be quick, as they are highly limited!

Throughout 2022 and the beginning of 2023 I started to photograph with my phone at shows I went to, in April of 2023 I got to photograph with my camera at a show for the first time and have been doing it since. I love that it´s possible to combine (live) music and photography!

Excited to see what the future will bring!
