HE/RO delivers energetic concert in Heidelberg
HE/RO played their sold-out show on their KEIN GRUND ZUR PANIK-Tour at the venue Halle 02 in Heidelberg. The band name HE/RO stands for the names of the brother duo Heiko and Roman. Both known since their teen years the band brings German pop-rock sounds to their fans. In Heidelberg, they sold out the venue, which was feelable as the crowd's energy was fuelled and ready to sing and dance with their favorite twins before the show even started. Before HE/RO's show started preact and newcomer Jolina Louise played her first concert. She was giddy and graceful once she entered her first stage, but she could convince with a great voice and cool pop music reminiscent of the sounds of singer Billie Eilish. My highlight was her song "Risk it all" and a powerful slow and dark cover of "I was made for lovin' you " by Kiss ! We will be watching out for her going forward.
Once HE/RO entered the stage, the fans sang loudly with them. I have to say HE/RO and their live band brought life to the venue as their first song started! Since I had not seen them live priorly, I was surprised by their strong stage presence and their good live voices. The music had a cool German pop-rock sound. Crowd favorites were songs like "Das Letzte", "Jetzt weinst du" or "Gar Nix (Außer dir)". HE/RO played songs from their new upcoming album (which will be coming out in a few days) and even some old songs from their YouTube era as teen-stars. For that last part of the show, they always bring a Fan to the stage who could spin a wheel to choose the next song. Generally, they had great crowd work with smoke guns, quick chats between songs, and parts of the show where they went to the barricades and even in the middle of the crowd to dance with the fans. My highlight was their viral song "Kuss an Dich" as the crowd vibed with them and sang loud, and one could see that the duo had fun on stage.
Overall, it was a great night, which surprised me by their high energy! Definitely a duo to watch as new music is coming out this week.
