After a complete style transformation, Austrian singer-songwriter fiio returned to Vienna's "Gürtel-"Bar, Chelsea, on February 27th, this time with longer hair beneath a stylish cowboy hat, fresh facial hair and a mission to exceed his previous concert at the same location last November.

The last time fiio played at this intimate Viennese venue, the show was sold out, and this time was no different. The stage was decorated similarly, with special lights in the background and the mic stand being wrapped in a bandana, a look that is very characteristic of musician fiio.

With support from Opening Act laela, he and his drummer quickly won over this evening‘s audience.

Kicking things off with "Arsch an Arsch", the opening track of his album Athena, fiio immediately made you excited for the rest of the night. This energy stayed constant throughout his show, occasionally interrupted by him sipping from his overflowing beer bottle or playful interactions with the crowd, responding to calls from fans and inside jokes. This time, fiio also brought a harmonica to play a slower song, for which the audience seemed to collectively hold their breath to take in the moment even more deeply. Besides the harmonica, fiio also regularly picks up his guitar for some of his songs, for example, "Amor der kleine Ficker" or a tambourine for fan favourites such as "35". The audience‘s tempo started picking up when fiio decided to play "1,2 Polizei.", but the crowd went absolutely wild when he returned to the stage to play "Sofia" and "Ohrring" after a brief exit during which the fans wouldn‘t stop clapping.

With his closing song "Wenn Ich Reich Bin (Geht’s Mir Gut)", fiio left us feeling rich, if not in money, then in music and memories. Some of these memories were preserved in pictures fans took with him after the show, while others were shared by fiio himself on Instagram in the form of a thank-you poem, expressing gratitude for such a beautiful evening.

Usually you'll find me at a concert, somewhere between barricade and moshpit or of course behind my camera. I love not only documenting the energy on stage, but also capturing the little moments in between. Vienna based:)
