On February 7th, Alligatoah transformed the Berlin Arena into a fusion of chaos and artistic performance. Dressed in an opulent fur coat over casual sweatpants, he stepped onto the stage—an outfit perfectly matching his signature ironic persona.

The stage design resembled a classic office setting—stacks of files, desks, and sterile lighting. But order didn’t last long: time and again, Alligatoah vented his frustration about office life, prompting the audience to share their own experiences with dull jobs and asking, “Who here is truly frustrated with their job?” Amidst loud cheers, he began to dismantle the stage bit by bit—papers flew, screens toppled, and in a final act of rebellion, he swung a baseball bat to shatter the monotony of corporate existence.

A standout moment of the evening was his ironic "Mental Health Coaching Session." Suddenly, Alligatoah changed outfits, shedding the fur coat and reappearing in comfortable sportswear and a long black shirt. With a calming voice, he led the audience through breathing exercises and stretching routines—an absurd yet utterly charming segment that had everyone participating, even the most hardcore moshpit fans.

Musically, the concert was a thrilling mix of new songs and old classics. The artist ventured into new territory, blending metal and pop for an explosive atmosphere that fueled several intense moshpits, pushing the audience’s energy to its peak. His most devoted fans, who humorously call themselves "Thoastens" (a nod to Taylor Swift’s Swifties), celebrated every note with enthusiasm.

Time and again, he playfully teased the crowd, joking that some were only there to hear his old hits—especially "Willst du." Naturally, he granted them their wish in the end. Just like the promised genre shift, because, as he put it, he’s a “metal mouse.” Wrapping up the night with a laugh, he revealed that his announced break had merely been a loyalty test—one the audience had clearly passed with flying colors.

Between songs, Alligatoah once again showcased his talent as an entertainer. With sharp wit, well-timed anecdotes, and spontaneous interactions with the audience, he made the concert feel like a hybrid of a stand-up show and a music event. “Even after all these years, he still makes his audience laugh,” was one of the most fitting remarks of the evening—even from Alligatoah himself.

All in all, Alligatoah proved once again in Berlin that he constantly reinvents himself, delivering top-tier musical and theatrical performances. A concert that not only thrilled musically but also provoked thought—and, most importantly, remains unforgettable.

For several years now, I’ve been attending countless concerts, diving deep into the music, the concept of the show, and how it brings people together. The sense of community and the dynamic interplay between fans and artists fascinates me endlessly.

For this magazine, I want to focus on exactly these themes: fandom, music, live shows, and the incredible feeling of belonging they create.
