A thousand memories: Isaac Andersons Stuttgart Show

A thousand memories: Isaac Anderson and his loving Fans back in Stuttgart with a joyful kind of nostalgic summer night show.

Back at the venue Stuttgart's Wizemann, where it all began for British singer and guitarist Isaac Anderson, in the summer of 2022, he played his final show of the 2024 'Feels Like Summer'-tour on July 17th, nearly two years later.

Here, he performed his first set as a solo-artist in Europe during the summer tour of the British band ‘Only the Poets.’ For the tour's finale, he once again brought Harry from the band 'Waiting for Smith' as the support act. With his poppy yet profound songs, Harry appealed to the nearly 200 attendees to live happily and carefree despite life's challenges. He succeeded in lifting the room's spirits, with everyone singing, dancing, and clapping along. His way of engaging the audience enchanted everyone in the room in his uniquely beautiful manner.

In a positive mood and full of anticipation, the fans welcomed Isaac and his band right on time at 9:00 PM. The sound of his band filled the room, bathed in blue light. With the words “Stuttgart, let's go”, he joined the fans' screams, and the show began with joy and mutual gratitude. The first four songs were marked by jumping, dancing, loud sing-alongs, and pure joy.

With the fifth song of the evening, 'St. Pancras,' dedicated to his love for his homeland, travel, and the unifying element of love for life, the audience played a significant role. Brought balloons were held aloft in the front rows, and a group of fans happily jumped to the beat of the music in the back with an England flag. This moment felt like a connecting element between the artist and fans; the lyric 'I love you desperately' was sung particularly loudly by the fans.

The second third of the show provided a musical contrast. Following the typical indie-pop sound, a more melancholic and quieter section ensued, where he sang not only his own songs about relationship problems, depressive phases, and growing up but also covered Coldplay's song 'Yellow.' A song that always reminded him of his musical beginnings, the time when he still covered songs at weddings. The feeling of a unique individual nostalgia filled the room and the fans.

Isaac repeatedly took the time to thank the fans, for the show, the tour, past tours, and the general possibility of doing this professionally. He often emphasized how incredibly happy the atmosphere at these shows made him. The feeling of a happy, dancing, and carefree bubble, connected by the lyrics, the beat, the love for him, and the emerging atmosphere, was what he loved most about this job.

The evening ended with the song 'This Could Be Paradise.' The fans clapped along with the beat and bid farewell to Isaac with the repeatedly sung lyric “Stay with me one more night”. A nearly perfect metaphor for the emerging wish that this incomparable evening should not yet end. And yet, all good things come to an end, and with that, the entire band left the stage, leaving behind a room full of joy, melancholy, and pure good vibes.
