Calum Hood's anticipated album ORDER chaos ORDER

After being the bassist of the Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds of Summer for fourteen years, Calum Hood steps into the spotlight with his solo debut album ORDER chaos ORDER, out June 13, 2025. With this release, Hood reveals a more intimate and introspective side of his artistry. He shows that he is not only a phenomenal bassist and now soloartist but also that he is a storyteller. ORDER chaos ORDER marks a bold new chapter in his musical journey.
As of now the lead single “Call Me When You Know Better“ is released and gives us a glimps into Calum‘s upcoming project. This single has been the first finished work oft he album and by this sets the tone for the record‘s emotional depth. Described by Hood as “a love letter in the form of an apology. For maybe not being the best lover or friend to the people who mean the most to me”. The track interweaves regret and self-reflection into some melancholic indie-pop tune filled with synths, muted guitars, reverb-soaked vocals. The combination gives it a raw and deeply-personal feeling. Together with the single „Don’t Forget You Love Me“, which was released back in March, we receive an open-hearted glimpse into the themes that run through the album: loss, healing, and transformation. The record will consist of ten songs in total, which are expected to be just as emotionally charged and raw as the other two singles. Calum reveals that "There are things I’ve never been able to sing about in the band—my upbringing, my family, the places life has taken me. This album is about laying those things to rest and allowing listeners to connect in their own way".
ORDER chaos ORDER promises to be a compelling listen for longtime 5SOS fans and newcomers. Anyone who is drawn to honest songwriting and emotive soundscapes will enjoy this record. It will be released on June 13, 2025 and you won't want to miss it.

I like to write about everything pop & fandom culture. Since it has been an integral part of my life for over 10 years I want to write about it for people to get an insight into something they might not understand. I‘d love to shed light onto the misogynistic view on fansgirls/boys. Sport fans and pop music fans are not as different.
