Liminal Dream States

This series explores liminal dream states, the threshold experiences of hypnagogia and hypnopompia. Hypnagogia is the transitional state entered while falling asleep, when the mind begins to loosen its grip on waking logic. Hypnopompia is its mirror, the state experienced while surfacing from sleep, when dream residue still clings to consciousness before full awareness returns. Both are liminal by nature, belonging fully to neither sleep nor waking, and both are known for producing distorted perception, fragmented imagery, and a destabilized sense of self.
