BETWEEN FRIENDS New Album Will Leave You Saying WOW!
Only eight months into 2025, and already several chart-topping albums have been released. The album WOW! by BETWEEN FRIENDS is no exception.
From the very first song of the album, “You & Me Time,” the heavenly synths and melodic voice of Savannah Hudson welcome you, and you can sense the build each song after leads up to.
The minds behind this musical identity are sibling duo Savannah and Brandon Hudson, originating from Miami, Florida, but raised in Laurel Canyon, California. The two of them have always shared a love for music. They even appeared and auditioned on season 8 of America’s Got Talent in 2013.
BETWEEN FRIENDS was created in Los Angeles, with now distant and silent partner, Brennan Benko. The trio worked in the band, The Heirs, being featured in Vans Warped 2016, then continuing their journey together after the band parted ways in 2017.
Their debut album, “I Love My Girl, She’s My Boy,” was released on the 25th of August, 2023. And now, nearly two years later, on August 1st, 2025, their second album has been released on all major platforms, blessing our ears with magnificent music.
While listening, every song on this album made me feel like I should be white-girl dancing my heart out at the club, in the best way possible. I could only imagine how these songs feel in your bones and veins as you listen to the duo live.
Portraying a plethora of emotions, WOW! is an album that explores the ups and downs of being in your 20s and discovering your own feelings.
Shared through an Instagram post, the duo expressed, “We hope you can feel a bit closer to us through these thirteen songs and maybe find a bit of yourself inside too. We transfer this to you with the desire of this becoming the exclamation point to our discography, and we thank you for listening.”
Following the release of the album, the single “1234567” was released on May 9th, 2025, along with two other songs that appear on the tracklist of WOW! Then, on June 16th, their tour was announced, starting on September 26th in San Francisco, California, and ending on November 19th in Amsterdam.
This is such a high-energy, feel-good album that it will have you moving no matter what. Whether you’re hearing it live, in the crowd, or at home, cleaning and wanting to pass the time. As I listened in my car, I found my head moving, my arms catching the rhythm as I held my steering wheel.
Each song resonated deeply, relating to random moments or feelings from my life. Starting with the song “XD,” to others like “Very Nice,” “JAM !,” and “Chevron.” The daunting worries of life are temporarily pushed to the back of your mind as the music captures you.
