BTS Return to Munich: A Weekend ARMY Has Been Waiting For
The countdown is almost over.
After years of military service, solo releases and an endless wait, BTS are finally returning to Germany during their "Arirang" worldtour. On 11 and 12 July, the seven-member K-pop group will take over Munich's Allianz Arena for two sold-out shows that are expected to bring together fans from across Europe.
For many, it's more than just another concert. It is a meeting point of friends they found online, of singing in their native tongue or cheering for their favorite k-pop boyband members in unity with the other "Army" (fans).
Long before the stadium gates open, the atmosphere around the venue is expected to be buzzing. ARMY has a tradition of turning concert days into an event of their own. Fans meet up, exchange photocards and handmade freebies, take photos together and simply enjoy spending time with people who share the same passion.
Inside the stadium, BTS are known for putting on one of the biggest live productions in pop music. From impressive stage design and choreography to emotional moments between songs, their concerts are designed to feel personal despite the size of the audience. While the exact setlist remains a surprise, fans can likely expect a mix of career-defining hits alongside newer music.
The Munich dates also mark an important moment for the group. Following the completion of South Korea's mandatory military service, all seven members are back on tour together, singing songs like their hit Dynamite, older surprise songs or songs from their recent release - it is a reunion fans have been looking forward to for years
For one weekend, Munich will become a destination for thousands of visitors dressed in purple, carrying ARMY Bombs and travelling from all over the world.
Whether you're attending one of the shows or simply following the excitement from afar, one thing is certain: BTS' return to Munich is set to be a weekend fans won't forget anytime soon.

I love to capture little moments in busy streets, but for our magazine, I mostly take editorial, portraits and concerts shots. You can sometime find me reviewing concerts or talking about all and everything during a hot chocolate in interviews with our guests.
