EDEN Turns Berlin’s Kesselhaus into an Intense One-Man Show for His “DARK” Tour
“Remember that these moments are precious and should be treated as such.” The sampled voice echoes through the room before the show begins – and for the next 90 minutes, it feels like the crowd really takes those words to heart.
After a three-year break, EDEN is back on tour with his new album “DARK”. For his EU leg of the tour, the singer, songwriter, and producer is stopping three times in Germany: Cologne, Berlin, and Hamburg. At his sold-out show at "Kesselhaus" in the heart of Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg, around 1,000 fans, myself included, were in for a treat with an hour and a half of pure EDEN.
It was the 30-year-old's fifth time playing in the German capital. He first played here about ten years ago in 2016, when he was just 20. At the time, the Irishman had just released his EP called "i think you think too much of me” and shortly after went on his first tour. Just under a decade later, fans in Berlin were able to hear three songs from that very EP in the setlist.
On stage, EDEN delivers an impressive one-man show. Standing alone in the spotlight, he switches between keyboard and guitar as he carries the evening entirely on his own. There isn't much interaction or long conversations with the audience, but somehow that's just right. The music is clearly the main focus, giving it the space it needs and deserves. Live, the songs feel very intense and honest. For 90 minutes, it is easy to completely immerse yourself in the music and forget about everything waiting for you outside.
The tour was supported by DJ Krewes, who played a DJ set for about half an hour. However, no one was on stage during the entire set. Fans have been speculating for a while who might be behind it – so far, there hasn't been any confirmation, keeping the mystery alive.
With its industrial charm, roughly 180-year-old Kesselhaus provided the perfect backdrop for the night. The venue's raw concrete walls, worn surfaces and scattered graffiti, accompanied by a high ceiling, give the space a kind of raw vibe that fits very well with the new album. A very intense light show, which came with an epilepsy warning, added to the atmosphere. The light show and venue created an excellent setting for the concert.
The entire room loudly sang along to songs like “sex”, “Quantuuuum”, and “Closer 2”, while tears were shed during “Call Me Back”, “crash”, and “start//end”. EDEN manages to capture a wide emotional range with his songs that truly get under your skin. In a live setting, his voice conveys these emotions even more powerfully, guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
After his shows in Germany, EDEN will keep his show going with more concerts in France, Ireland, and the United Kingdom before taking a short break – hopefully returning to the studio to work on another beautiful album soon. For anyone who still has the chance to see the show, it's definitely worth it. The mix of atmosphere, light, and music is something you don’t experience very often.

I’m Noah, a photographer from Hannover. I started taking photos in 2015 – at first just random snapshots of my life. Over time it turned into planned portrait sessions, published and personal documentary projects, and, of course, concert photography. I love capturing the energy of live shows: fans crying or dancing to their favorite songs, artists going wild on stage… those raw and meaningful moments are what made me stick with photography – and especially concerts.
Catch you in the crowd!
