"Every Night Fantasy"-Tour Enchants Cologne

"I can’t wait to do this again very soon!" With these words, singer Omar Rudberg wrapped up his intimate tour including a show in Cologne. "Very soon" it was indeed, because in February 2025 he started his Every Night Fantasy Tour, with 18 dates across Europe. On February 24th, the Venezuelan-Swedish artist returned to Cologne, lighting up the sold-out Live Music Hall with its 1,800 capacity.
As the venue fills up, eager fans start chanting for their favourite singer to greet him on stage. The moments before he stepped onto the stage the crowd erupted, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. Omar kicked off the night with the song “Bye Bye” from his debut EP "Every Night Fantasy", instantly getting everyone in the mood for an electrifying evening.

Dressed in iconic silver outfits, the singer, his band, and his background dancers dazzled from the very first moment. The first few songs, an upbeat mix of newer and older tracks, invited everyone to dance and sing along loudly. Songs with Latin influences like “Yo Dije Ouff” and “Como Ayer” show off his Venezuelan heritage, adding to the energetic atmosphere. More than an amazing vocalist, Rudberg showed off his dynamic stage presence with some impressive moves and choreo alongside his talented background dancers.
After this high-energy opening, a slower segment of the set allowed the audience to catch their breath. One of the standout aspects to me was its trilingual setlist – English, Spanish, and Swedish – demonstrating his versatility and roots. A particular emotional moment came when Omar performed “Simon’s Song” from the Swedish Netflix series Young Royals he starred in.
This was followed by one by heartfelt ballads like “Wrong”, “Red Light” and his latest single “I’m Not A Boy”. Fans, deeply moved, sang along passionately and took out their flashlights and illuminated the hall while holding up paper hearts and signs as part of their fan projects.

“It’s gonna be sweaty, hot, dance-friendly, emotional,” the Young Royals-star had predicted the tour – and he absolutely delivered. The second half of the concert was just as, if not more, dance-driven than the first – or maybe everyone warmed up. The crowd was literally electrified, moving and singing along to his hits like “Moving Like That” and “In the Sunrise”. However, the true fan favourite seemed to be “It Takes A Fool to Remain Sane” which had the entire venue jumping in contagious euphoria.
For the encore, Omar performed the song “She fell in Love in the Summer” and “Dum” one of his Swedish songs. During these heartfelt songs, where the singer could show off his raw, emotional vocals, his fans took out colourful flashlights and waved along, which created a mesmerising visual moment.

One of his closing songs was “Happier” and he urged the audience to "[…] better dance with me! I wanna see your body move” - no one had to be told twice.
Before closing his show, he reflected on his previous concert in cologne, reminiscing about how he played a venue less than half the size of the Live Music Hall. When he asked if he should return, the deafening roar of the audience left no doubt about the answer. He ended the night by introducing his phenomenal band and backup dancers, giving them the credit they deserved.
Omar Rudberg’s Every Night Fantasy-Tour was definitely a concert to remember: A charismatic and multi-talented performer who captivated the audience with his charm and authenticity. His set was a seamless blend of emotional ballads and high-energy dance tracks, ensuring that even those who are not as familiar with his music found themselves swept up in the magic of the night. Whether a longtime fan or a newcomer, everyone had the chance to experience something truly unforgettable.

I like to write about everything pop & fandom culture. Since it has been an integral part of my life for over 10 years I want to write about it for people to get an insight into something they might not understand. I‘d love to shed light onto the misogynistic view on fansgirls/boys. Sport fans and pop music fans are not as different.

I love to capture little moments in busy streets, but for our magazine, I mostly take editorial, portraits and concerts shots. You can sometime find me reviewing concerts or talking about all and everything during a hot chocolate in interviews with our guests.
