After the release of her third studio album Locket in January, Madison Beer is finally back on tour. The first leg takes place across Europe, and we had the opportunity to see her perform live in Berlin’s Max-Schmeling-Halle. Both Lulu Simon and Isabel LaRosa set the tone for the night with energetic performances that got the crowd hyped for Madison’s arrival. Whereas Lulu Simon captivated the crowd with her folk-inspired vibe, synth-pop anthems, and incredible songwriting, Isabel LaRosa took over the arena with her alt-pop/dark-pop sound and breathy “whisper-pop” vocals, performing dances throughout songs like "Pretty Boy" and "Favorite." It was a night full of pop in various styles.

Shortly after 9 p.m., the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted in cheers, knowing the American singer-songwriter was about to step on stage. The crowd was instantly immersed in the aesthetic of her "The Locket Tour" from the moment the show started throughout the night. White swans, a tunnel of love, angel wings, stars, and the stage design of a dreamy amusement park with a balcony and a carousel set the mood. Madison invited the audience into her personal world for the night, turning the show into an immersive tunnel of love.

One of the highlights of the night came when Madison sat down on the steps of her stage carousel, holding a heart-shaped box. A moment that, judging by the screams, was clearly a fan favorite. During this segment, three letters each represented a different song choice, with one fan getting the chance to decide which song Madison would perform next. As she teased the lyrics, the audience instantly screamed them back word for word, proving just how connected her fans are to her music. The chosen song of the night was "Default", a song from her debut album Life Support.

Another standout moment happened during "lovergirl". Throughout the show, Madison used every inch of the stage — from the runway to the balcony to the carousel to center stage — creating a dynamic, immersive performance. During "lovergirl,“ however, she briefly stepped down to the barricade to interact with fans, singing directly to them, signing vinyls, taking pictures, hugging them, and accepting gifts. This intimate barricade walk perfectly highlighted her genuine appreciation for the people supporting her.

Throughout the set, Madison repeatedly expressed her gratitude to her fans and how much their support means to her. Judging by the screams, sing-alongs, dancing, and electric atmosphere inside the arena, the feeling was clearly mutual.

We especially loved the balance between emotional and energetic moments throughout the night. Songs like “Envy the Leaves” turned the arena into a sea of flashlights. While you could hear some sing-alongs, the venue was quietly captivated by Madison's voice as she sat on the floor of the runway during her performance. An entirely different energy came moments later, with tracks like "complexity", briefly transforming the venue into a club filled with colorful lights and infectious rhythms and the catwalk during "make you mine", which was a beautiful ode to her performance at the Victoria's Secret Show in October last year. It did not matter what song and mood the songs provided; the audience knew every single note. And the confetti at the end of the "bittersweet" performance was the cherry on top of a phenomenal night.

Madison Beer proves she can do it all while staying true to herself. From the creativity of every visual and the concept of the story portrayed, to the carefully designed and crafted stage, to the addition of dancers, who further elevated the performance and the night, making it an overall exceptional show. The setlist is equally emotional, heartbreaking, upbeat and danceable, offering something for everyone while also finally showcasing her impressive vocal range, even more than on her earlier tours.

'The Locket Tour' marks Madison Beer’s fourth tour, not to mention her first arena run, and proves that she truly belongs on the biggest stages in the world. We know this is just the beginning for the 27-year-old singer-songwriter.
