No Introduction Needed: Central Cee Owned Munich

Last Friday, Central Cee delivered an unforgettable night in Munich at his Can't Rush Greatness Tour, and it was an immersive experience from start to finish, to say the least. What I really loved after entering the venue was that the front-of-stage area wasn’t locked behind VIP or meet-and-greet tickets. If you were fast enough with a general admission ticket, you could get right up front.

Billa Joe opened the night at 8 PM, and while his set was short (only 15 minutes), it was solid. After that, the DJ kept the crowd hyped for almost 40 minutes, and honestly? It flew by. There was no awkward downtime, just a whole lot of mosh pits and everyone vibing to rap and trap music.

When Cench finally hit the stage at exactly 9 PM, opening with Limitless, the energy in the room was unexplainable. He owned the stage from the second he stepped on it. His presence, the way he moved, interacted, and laughed with fans; it all felt so natural and exciting. I got lucky and ended up pretty close to the front, which made it even better when the stair platform dropped from the ceiling, and he literally ended up right in the middle of the crowd. Imagine seeing your favorite rapper in ultra-HD - yeah, exactly. He eased us into the night with slower, more emotional songs like Now We’re Strangers and Commitment Issues, building up seamlessly to crowd favorites such as Gen Z Luv. The latter was particularly memorable because when it came on, he passed around a phone on Facetime through the crowd, and everyone could simultaneously see his and the fan’s reactions on the big stage screens. It was such a cute, chaotic moment. Some fans were rapping their hearts out; some looked like they might faint. (I definitely get it, though.)

The pacing was perfect. He started with the more laid-back songs and let the crowd settle into the vibe before ramping up to the high-energy stuff. By the time Band 4 Band and UK Rap came on, the entire floor was jumping. Of course, he also played fan favorites like Doja and Sprinter. Periodically, short breaks allowed Cench to switch outfits, which honestly just made everything feel even more curated. My favorite fit? The all-red jogger set from a local German streetwear brand called 6PM. Apparently, he partners with a local brand in every country on tour, and I just think that’s such a cool touch. Mid-show, things slowed down in the best way. He and his friends chilled on stage smoking a hookah while his friend A2ANTI performed a few of his own songs, including his newer release called Gang. Then came one of the most adorable parts of the night: Central Cee brought a young boy up on stage to sing Overseas with him. The kid was so nervous but so excited, and the hug they shared at the end was just heartwarming. I'm sure that boy must’ve gone to school the next day as a living legend. My overall thought throughout the whole show was that it felt really intimate, like we were hanging out at their afters and getting a glimpse into their friend group and personal life, which (for me atleast) makes a concert immediately a 10/10.

By the time the lights came back on, everyone was drenched, tired, and completely wired from how good the show was. It’s one of those concerts you talk about for days, maybe weeks after. If you’re missing out on the Can't Rush Greatness Tour, just know that you’re really missing out. Central Cee Live is something else, and I already want to do it all over again.

The question of belonging always lingers in the back of my mind. As a diaspora child, I carry the weight of leaving and the longing to find home in every place I go. So I like to write about what moves me. Music that lingers, films that haunt, words that stay long after the page is turned. I chase the moments that make me feel something.
