On January 9th, indie folk band from Austin, Texas, The 4411, made the last stop in their Bye December Tour, a four-show tour in Florida that ended with a sold-out show at New World Brewery in Tampa. Their opener was Pilot Jonezz, an indie rock band local to Tampa that infuses soul, R&B, and funk music into their own unique sound.

Hailing from Texas, The 4411 set out to the scene of north and south Florida from January 7th to January 9th of the new year, playing in Jacksonville, Gainesville, Orlando, and finishing in Tampa. The band is composed of best friends Tomas Gerlach (drums) and Cogan McBride (vocals), who met their bandmates Alan Holmquist (guitar) and Nick Speer (bass) after the release of their song, "As You Please". They now write and record with each other full-time.

New World Brewery in Tampa is a venue that features an array of musical talent, offering food, alcohol, outdoor seating, and ample space for concert-goers to enjoy the atmosphere. It was a sold-out show and the venue was able to house the crowd. Though everyone was shoulder-to-shoulder, no one seemed to mind as the energy brought by the two acts kept attendees reciprocating the same feel-good vibes.

With regards to utilization of the venue space, one might consider what to do when trying to accommodate the photographers that are covering the show, and giving them the opportunity to cover all areas of the stage, separate from invading the space of the stage and separate from the full crowd. As well as to protect the equipment and wiring for any electronics that are essential to sound and lighting.

They featured songs that were fan favorites, ones that the entire crowd knew and sang back to them. They also played a few unreleased songs, one of which will be released on January 21st, titled "Sweet July".

If you listen to bands such as Hozier, The Moss, Cardinal Bloom, and The Lumineers, then give The 4411 a listen on your preferred streaming platform. If you’re local to Austin, see them live on January 17th, 2026, at 3Ten Austin City Limits with Vision Arcade and Barb.
