On October 13th, 2026, after spending several years of his childhood in Heidelberg, where THE UNSEEN Magazine was founded, American singer Khalid returned to Germany, his self-called "second home," to play a show as part of his current It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour at Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin!

Overall, the concert, which lasted about 70 minutes, carried a cozy and intimate energy. With a visibly older crowd in attendance, the evening often felt like catching up with an old acquaintance. This gave long-time listeners a chance to step back into their teenage shoes for one more night. Yet, Khalid’s appeal clearly isn't confined to nostalgia. Among the audience there were also younger fans scattered throughout, discovering his live magic for the first time, including a girl wearing a birthday crown as she clearly celebrated her 18th birthday at the venue. It served as proof that Khalid still effortlessly passes that teenage spirit a previous generation of teens experienced onto a new generation of German listeners.

Especially his speech before "Everything We See" was a true show-highlight. He stated:

I'm not a teen anymore, I'm 28 years old but something about youth, it just never dies. Youth never goes away because it lives inside all of us. And you guys make me feel so young.

Musically, the setlist was well-balanced between old and new. Khalid showcased fresh material from his latest album, after the sun goes down, delivering standout live versions of tracks like "out of body" and "whenever you're gone". At the same time, he catered to fan expectations by weaving in career-defining hits like "Silence", before bringing the night to a warm, collective high point with "Young Dumb & Broke" as the grand finale.
