From the Crowd to the Stage - Ivo Martin’s Unforgettable Tour Kickoff in Vienna

A very special and long-awaited night for fans took place on October 11th at the Gasometer in Vienna, as Ivo Martin officially kicked off his "Mit dir wird mir warm" tour.

Opening the show, newcomer pop duo Jenny & Joy from Stuttgart took the stage by storm as the support act. The sisters warmed up the venue with a handful of their tracks, including "dummer hübscher Lappen" and "Mein Jungä", and even gifted a merch T-shirt straight to the crowd. The duo did not disappoint, successfully hyping up the room and setting the energy high for the main act to come.

When it was time for Ivo Martin, he started his performance completely unexpectedly right in the middle of the crowd on a B-Stage. At first, it took a moment for fans to realize what was happening, but the surprise quickly turned into a wave of pure excitement— fitting right into the warm, intimate motto of the evening. He opened the concert with "Weit weg", transitioning into "Initialen" while weaving his way through the audience before finally finishing the song on the main stage.

As he sat down at the piano for "Mensch im Spiegel", the curtain covering the main stage concept slowly parted, instantly striking a chord with everyone in the room. Following some great crowd work, he performed his hit "Hallo", getting both the audience and himself dancing.

During his stage banter, Ivo shared how thrilled he was that the tour kickoff was taking place in Vienna. He noted how special the city is to him since he wrapped up his last tour in this exact same spot and even stayed a week in the city afterward.

Later in the set, he performed "Privileg", a deeply moving track driven by strong political statements. He spoke candidly about how important it is for him to weave his values and political stance into his music. The crowd went off the rails; the cheering and clapping echoed loudly and refused to stop, making it clear how deeply his message resonated.

Picking back up that momentum a few songs later, he treated the audience to an unreleased song from his upcoming tape Mittendrin called "Wann hört das auf?" The track delivered another powerful political punch, directly criticizing capitalism and the growing gap between the rich and the poor.

Things got even cozier when he invited two fans up on stage to sit on his living room stage backdrop during "Wie du’s Liebe nennst". After a smooth, light-hearted chat asking the girls whether they’d ever been in love, he rolled right into his very first release, "Verliebt".

Once getting the room moving all over again with "Tanz", Ivo brought an emotionally charged evening to a close with an encore. He performed "Sehnsucht", before wrapping up with "Küss mich", which had the entire venue shouting the lyrics back to him with all their hearts.

Yet, the night wasn't quite over when the lights went down. As Katy Perry’s "Teenage Dream" blasted through the speakers, Ivo, his band, and the crowd stuck around to throw an impromptu after-party complete with a little choreographed dance routine to send everyone home smiling.
