Ivri Performs in Home State for "Evidence of You" Tour with Ally Nicholas
Rising musical artist Ivri goes through her Evidence of You tour and makes a stop in Tampa, Florida, USA, her home state, where she was raised. With opener Ally Nicholas, the two of them gave the audience an incredible show at New World Brewery, a local Tampa venue.
Currently based in New York City, Ivri began taking music more professionally after being featured on a song released by SadBoyProlific. This was an eye-opener for Ivri, and her career changed.
During this stop, both musical talents and their accompanying band members have been giving their all on this tour, and this night was no different.
Fans were equally excited to see Ivri and Ally Nicholas, eager to meet others who shared their love for similar music and to listen to new music, as it seemed that individuals were there for one or the other but weren’t familiar with both. While Ivri and Nicholas fall under the same music genre, they each have unique, distinct sounds that are vastly different from most of what is heard on mainstream radio.
Ivri shared that her music is a form of empathy, something evident in her releases, EPs, and singles alike. What was beautifully noted about a portion of Ivri’s performance was the use of live poetry in the form of song. An intimate exchange took place with the audience when she shared a delicately powerful piece, with synthful, ethereal music playing in the background.
It has been noted in previous interviews that her music is also inspired by sci-fi themes, and this is evident in the immersive experience she curates for her concerts. Along with synthful melodies, there was a soft voice that echoed through the venue, her voice, that delivered a surrealist narrative while the lights came down and created a silhouette of her on the stage.
She also shared an empowering message that had the crowd roaring and clapping in support of her and her amplified voice, which was highlighting the importance of art in our heated political climate. Calling out corrupt institutions like I.C.E. and Israel, Ivri emphasized that art is an inherently political form of expression, it always has been and always will be.
When you’re in the crowd of a concert, you normally feel lost and indistinguishable from the person next to you. While attending this concert, Ivri makes no one feel left out.
At one point during her set, a slower song of hers started to play, marking the beginning of a bit where she went around to shake hands with those closest to the front, spending a brief moment with them. I didn’t realize that this was the case, and she started directly in front of me, extending her hand out to me to begin that moment.
During another part of her set, she hopped right off the stage and began moshing with fans, creating her own pit to enjoy with everyone, even if just for a moment.
Along with the amazing music, going to a show with Ivri performing is bound to be a good, moving time. She continues her tour with Nicholas until the end of October, then in December, she will be in the lineup for the Australian festival Good Things, with artists like All-American Rejects and Limp Bizkit.
If you listen to artists like Wisp, tomcbumpz, Vansire, or Julia Wolf, then Ivri should be on your radar.
